Every year dirty water kills more people than war. To drive this message home, select bars and restaurants around Toronto handed out glasses of water containing grenade shaped ice cubes. As the ice melted, our message was slowly revealed.

To raise awareness of the harmful impact a lack of access to clean drinking water can have on people around the world, we focused on one key fact: every year dirty water kills more people than war. To drive this message home and encourage donations to The Water Project, we created an ice sculpture using dirty water in the shape of a grenade and displayed it at the Bloor-Yorkville Icefest.
